Bathing Beauties: Bidwell Botanicals

They say that 70 - 75% of what we perceive as taste actually comes from our sense of smell, and boy do I believe it. I’ve always been a visual creature, truly appreciating aesthetic beauty and the nuances of shape and form. But scents really knock my socks off, especially of the foodie variety — and I think there’s nothing sexier than emerging from the shower smelling like vine-ripened fruit or a bakery fresh cupcake. Am I weird like that? I swear, in my next life I’m coming back as a grocery item! ;-)

But until that day, I can surround myself with the lush, delicious bath and body offerings from Bidwell Botanicals! Serving up deliciously scented, fabulously natural body care products is the order of the day. Just check out these bathing delights!

Bidwell Botanicals

I’m a sucker for a handmade soap, and Bidwell’s bars are not only beautiful to look at, but are chock full of skin-nourishing ingredients in amazing scent blends. The Limoncello Olive soap, with its bright citrus notes and hints of vanilla and caramel, is a heady combination. And if you love your “herbal essences”, give Blackberry Sage a try — juicy berry mixed with crisp, herbal sage. The Honey Bamboo blend sounds like it would be perfect as a facial soap, with raw silk fibers and bamboo powder added for gentle exfoliation. And chocolate lovers, look no further than the Chocolate Truffle soap, a deliriously delicious blend of organic Dagoba cocoa powder, virgin cocoa butter, and rich cream. Heavenly!

Bidwell Botanicals

From the Bidwell Botanicals site: “To keep your skin looking fresh and vibrant you need to remove dead skin cells on a regular basis.” Truer words were never spoken! About six months ago I added a gentle exfoliator to my skincare routine once daily, and my skin has never been more clear or radiant! Many people forget that the skin all over their bodies needs regular exfoliation though — and Bidwell’s luxurious body polishes will definitely do the trick! The mood-brightening scent blend of the Sanguinello & Pomegranate Sugar Scrub sounds like the perfect cocktail. Sicilian blood orange and exotic pomegranate are touched with rich Bourbon vanilla for a delicious body scrubbin’ delight! Nothing gets me going like the scent of peppermint in the morning — and the combination of juicy lime and fresh mint in the Mojito Sugar Scrub sounds like the perfect way to start my day. But if caffeine is the key to getting your engine revving, check out the CafĂ© Brazilian Scrub, with its essential oils of Brazilian coffee and freshly ground Fair Trade Organic coffee beans. Starbucks, step aside! Oh, and you know they have their chocolate fans covered. The Hot Chocolate Sugar Scrub is a perfect compliment to the Chocolate Truffle soap — and with marshmallow extract for that extra smooth touch. Can I get mine slathered on toast, please? Yummy!

Bidwell Botanicals has a wide range of products in a dizzying array of scents — and now through August 31st, all skin-soothing moisturizers are on sale! Tempted yet?
